9. Preventive Injury for the Soccer Player-

The Chargers have embarked on a program to try and prevent soccer

related injuries before they happen. This is cutting edge material used

on many Pro Sports Teams and now for the 1st time brought to a

youth sports organization. This involves testing players to see if they

are at high risk, customizing exercises to prevent injuries, doing proper

warm ups and cool downs and seeing the correct specialist before injuries

happen and surgery is needed. The Chargers have contracted with two

local professionals who have been instrumental in develping this program

and will be official consultants for the club to players on injuries:

Dr. Nishin Tambay, Sports Rahab and intervention Medicine

     Lisa Chase, Physical Therapist

                Preventive Injury Program:

                1. Lisa Chase Credentials

                2. Soccer Mechanics

                3. Evaluation Options

Feel free to contact Dr. Tambay for Clinical issues and Lisa Chase for therapy issues.

Injuries like chronic hamstrings, groins, knee pain and more serious ones like ACL, and torn ligaments can be prevented if identified in advance allowing for players to avoid missing months of team activity, or career ending surgeries or very expensivsurgery and rehab.
